Base Rates for Retail Deliveries:
Minimum charges for Clarion and surrounding towns:
Zone 1: Clarion Borough, Reidsburg, Monroe Township (Wal-Mart/ Hotel Area), or University Housing- $15
Zone 2: Shippenville, Lucinda, Limestone, or Strattanville- $25
Zone 3: Corsica, Cook's Forest, Fisher, Snydersburg, Knox Borough or Sligo- $35
Zone 4: Brookville, Rimersburg, or New Bethlehem- $45
Zone 5: Cranberry (North), Oil City or Emlenton- $50
*An extra stop from a retail delivery is $5.00. If order assembly is required at the second stop, this increases to $7.00.*
Charges will be adjusted accordingly for large orders or for stores outside of Monroe Township. See below:
Rates increase by $1 for each ten items, excluding the first 50 items. This charge does not apply to Wal-Mart Pickup orders. (For example, if an order has 33 items that we assemble, there is no additional charge. If it has 65 items, $2 will be added - the first 50 are included, the next ten add $1, and the remaining five add $1. If we don't assemble the order (i.e. curbside pickup), this fee is waived.)
For Gold-Tier stores, add $5. For Platinum-tier stores, add $15. For Diamond-tier, add $30. These fees are calculated based on each store's distance from the Clarion County Courthouse and are subject to change. The tier list is as follows (this list is not exhaustive):
Bronze-Tier: ALDI, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Sheetz, Tractor Supply*, Advance Auto Parts* and Clarion Wal-Mart.
Gold-Tier (Add $5 to total): Shippenville Red and White, Hollenbaugh's Hometown Meat Market, Family Farm and Home*, Harbor Freight*, Sally*
Platinum-Tier (Add $15 to total): Giant Eagle, Tom's Riverside, Sharp Shopper, Family Dollar
Diamond-Tier (Add $30 to total): Lowe's*, Ollie's, Oil City Wal-Mart
All rates (including the premium store rates) are calculated starting from the Clarion County Courthouse.
How to Order:
Use the form in the Order tab to create a list, or text it to 570-794-3663. Please be as specific as possible when creating your list- for example, note "cans, not bottles" or other similar preferences, when making your list. Please also note which store or stores you'd like us to shop from. Additional retail stores beyond the first are $7 within the same zone.
*Stores marked with a star carry products that our staff is not very knowledgeable about, such as hardware and beauty products. Please be extremely specific when listing which products you wish to purchase from these stores. Pictures of unique items will help. In addition, Clarion Carrier is unable to safely deliver wood sheets from hardware stores. All products must be able to fit inside the enclosed boot of a large SUV to be delivered.*
Upon receipt of either the form or equivalent, we will calculate an estimate for your order and send it to the phone number provided.
Once the estimate (which will include all delivery fees) is sent to you, you can either choose to accept it, alter the list for a new quote, or reject it. If you accept the estimate as presented, your order will be shopped and delivered. (Payment must be received before goods will be released.) If altered, a new quote will be sent once a new estimate is created. You may also choose to bypass this on the order form; by doing so, you agree to pay the total cost of the order and delivery regardless of any price changes that may be made by the store.
Policies for Retail Deliveries:
1. We pay for the orders in the store. You pay Clarion Carrier for the total, plus the delivery fee, upon delivery.
2. If using Wal-Mart's Curbside Service, please use the "Wal-Mart Pickup" tab above. This will earn you a discounted rate- if we don't have to assemble the order, we won't charge you for doing so. Do not click "delivery" in the Wal-Mart App, as that sends the order to outside contractors.
3. If a store you'd like us to shop from is not listed, please ask- we may be able to shop there, or find a similar deal. We will shop from most stores that accept debit cards.
4. Payment must be processed before order will be released. Non-payment will result in forfeiture of goods and a permanent blacklist from use of our services.
5. Clarion Carrier reserves the right to decline orders at any time, for any reason.
6. Clarion Carrier firmly stands against single-use plastic bags. Unless one of a few specific criteria are met, your order will be packed in paper bags or cardboard boxes.
These criteria are: A. Order contains ice cream; or B. Order contains any frozen items and is traveling farther than 10 miles. Otherwise, paper bags and recycled cardboard boxes will be used.
7. Additional stores may be selected for $7 each.
8. Clarion Carrier WILL NOT deliver alcohol, controlled substances, lottery tickets, guns, or ammunition, at all, for any reason. This is to limit legal liabilities.
8.5. If we get "carded" at any store, for any item, we are required to "card" you at delivery. Even if you don't look like you're underage; it's the law.
9. Retail orders must be booked at least two hours in advance. This allows us to accurately calculate prices. Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first served basis. Wal-Mart Pickup orders must be booked at least 4 hours in advance and before 5PM, per Wal-Mart policies.
10. Tips are not required, but are genuinely appreciated.
11. Grocery deliveries are able to be delivered within 30 miles of the Clarion County Courthouse.
12. If you and a friend wish to combine two orders, please contact us before placing the order. The posted rates are per trip, not per order.
